Happy Birthday, Ella!

Yesterday, little Ella turned TWO. We had a wonderful day, doing everything Ella likes. She got to make pink waffles for breakfast. We opened her birthday presents. She decided to wear her Cinderella dress. We rode a choo-choo train and she rode a horse.

Opening presents. Ella was sidetracked by the stickers Nana gave her. Who needs presents when you have stickers?

She rode the horsies that go around in the circle in thee little corral. Then she tried the one where she rode around the track. Somehow, watching your barely two year old ride off on a lonely track is somewhat disconcerting. The track seemed huge and she seemed so tiny!

Happy Birthday Ella! (The Cake)

So, the presents were great, the choo choo and the horsie were
wonderful. But all she has talked about for weeks was the cake. She
sings the birthday song then pretends to blow out the candles. Weeks,
she has been at this.

Baking her cake didn't go too well today, but I knew it would still
taste good. Still, it didn't look great. But a two year old wouldn't
notice that, right? Right...?

Ella and a Horsie

On Sunday we had a birthday party (November is a very full month for birthday parties for us as our entire play group was born in November - one at the very end of October) and Ella got to goto one of her very favorite places. The Farm. The Farm is where she gets to see the animals, and Ella could spend all day every day seeing animals, especially horses. Ella really really likes horses.

Usually, Ella sees the horses and wants to ride them. Until she gets close and mommy and daddy can't get on the horse too at which point she quickly changes her mind. This time, she did it! She got on the horse, rode it with an intensely serious expression, then wanted to go again and again! It was a GREAT party.
