Election Day

JD REALLY wanted to Ella to remember this election. But he felt that the events are just not going to be very memorable to an (almost) three year old. What would be memorable for a three year old? Cake. made from ice cream. With M&Ms on it. Eaten with her hands. So that is what he got Ella on Election night once the results were official. She remembers the cake.

Happy Birthday Ella!

A few days late...in my defense the birthday girl is not really a fan of me being on the computer so spending time on it to wish her a happy birthday would have been somewhat counterproductive.

To celebrate Ella's THIRD birthday both Nana and Grandma were in town and we had a wonderful time. Presents, cake, more cake, lots of singing and celebrating. We even had a birthday party with a bounce house.

Ella woke up in the morning on her birthday and saw her shadow and said "But I didn't grow!" Later, checking out her feet with much seriousness she said that her feet had gotten taller, she is getting bigger.

Immediately on her birthday morning she ran to the back door (at 6:15am) and said - "Where are my friends and my bounce house?"

Here are a few photos of her big day. We still have more presents for her to open hidden in the closet (once the playdoh was opened nothing else mattered!) so she has some more excitement ahead of her. And because ALL of her friends were born in November we have 2 more birthday parties this weekend, so the fun has yet to end....

Nana, Grandma and all of us

Patiently waiting for cake...

The bounce house was here from 9am until 7pm. It was awesome!
