Spring time

With the great weather we have really been able to utilize our beautiful backyard. It really is amazing. Laura came to visit lately which was really wonderful, she is about to move from San Francisco to NYC. An exciting and scary move. Luckily we will get to see her one more time as we are taking a family cruise next week and it stops in SF for one day.

Ella has become much more verbal. At almost 18 months old she can say many many words, but her favorite, and most oft-repeated word, is "Cinderella." She began by simply calling her favorite character "Cinda," but it has now become the full four syllable word, intelligible even to strangers. Impressive for a tike. Needless to say, we read the Cinderella book a LOT. Ella loves to kiss the book on the pages when her "Cinda" is sad. JD and I are not sure that teaching our daughter that a prince will rescue her is the greatest idea for a one year old, but the determined girl can not get enough of Cinderella.

As always, there are more photos at ellawalsh.shutterfly.com

March Moments...

I swear, I am trying to post photos a bit more frequently...

Ella is obsessed with her little chair. She really enjoys having a cracker in her chair and she lounges there lazily as she snacks. She looks quite grown up in it!

She also really loves the phone. Not sure if you were aware but this is the preferred method of speaking on the cell phone. It should be on your shoulder, upside down.

It is not easy to catch these two moneys sitting down together but when we don't have the camera they are quite loving to one another. They really are such good friends. The love to hug and kiss and sometimes even share.

Dad (Grandpa) came out to visit and besides accomplishing every single task on my very long to do list (he did so much out here!) he brought us a book that Tiffany's sends out to their top tier customers (those who spend the big bucks on jewelry each year). Anyhow, Ella has become quite taken with this book. That can't be a good sign...

Who is this?

A nice moment with grandpa

Caan I have this please? An orange from the backyard tree. A happy Ella can't wait to eat it!
