Happy Birthday, Ella!

Yesterday, little Ella turned TWO. We had a wonderful day, doing everything Ella likes. She got to make pink waffles for breakfast. We opened her birthday presents. She decided to wear her Cinderella dress. We rode a choo-choo train and she rode a horse.

Opening presents. Ella was sidetracked by the stickers Nana gave her. Who needs presents when you have stickers?

She rode the horsies that go around in the circle in thee little corral. Then she tried the one where she rode around the track. Somehow, watching your barely two year old ride off on a lonely track is somewhat disconcerting. The track seemed huge and she seemed so tiny!

Time for cake! For more about the cake, watch the video...

I think that was incredibly brave of Ella to ride away on a horse! Also very brave of Mom to watch from afar. ;)

Indeed she was incredibly brave. Neither her mom nor her nana could handle her lonesome figure riding off in the sunset. It was like the end of terribly sad western with our hero a tiny and elegantly dressed Cinderella. Deirdre ran to meet her as she came around the bend. There was little Ella, a tear running down her check, but otherwise holding on tight and calmly dealing with this strange adventure. She's is such a great kid!
