Halloween

Halloween with a three year old is just fun. Getting ready for it is fun, seeing houses with decorations, planning on trick or treating and then getting to EAT CANDY - it is all fun and today was just such a joy. We had a great time at a friend's house making cookies and playing, both girls took a great nap (definitely adds to the fun!) and then the Halloween fun really kicked in.

We went to Lil's house and Gracie came over too. They all looked so CUTE and were so excited. Ella loved being a wolf and never wavered (since May I might add) in her decision that this was what she wanted to be for Halloween. Charlotte, on the other hand, ditched her lion costume and decided o be a Sugarplum Fairy. The lion costume made her cry.

When the trick or treating extravaganza began Ella received M&Ms and her face lit up, she was so excited. "Look, I got beans!!" WHAT? She later determined that it was candy and was very happy. It goes to show that just about anything will excited a three year old! Enjoy the photos...

You can't blame Ella- who doesn't enjoy a nice treat of traditional Halloween beans?
Charlotte looks like a little angel, and Ella looks so joyful! You and JD are pretty cute, too.

I think that a wolf and fairy are perfectly logical offspring for a twinkie and a witch. After all, witches can do magic and ... I've never been able to figure out exactly what addictive goodness they use to make a twinkie. It seems reasonable to me!
